Artist super-KIKI's thoughts on the concept "Impure Utopia"

In our world where we are expected to be "productive," it is no longer important what the truth is. Pursuing it is considered "unproductive," meaning it is not cost-effective.

AI technology has developed to an extremely complex level, and has succeeded in easily creating beautiful, realistic, and emotional landscapes (while at the same time destroying the real land we live in). However, on the other hand, isn't our social system trying to categorize and control us more simply and with lower resolution?

In this world where we desire only simple things that are "pure, strong, beautiful, excellent, and highly productive," we are surely "monsters." Monsters/ghosts/witches/cyborgs... Yes, our existence is complex and troublesome, and it is not easy to understand each other. However, the complexity of my existence and your existence is undeniably true, and no one can deny it.

And from now on, we will continue to change into all sorts of forms. Before we are changed by something bigger that continues to exclude people. Yes, we can become anything.

Let's create our own bodies to live a new story. We, the "different," will take over this dystopia and portray its complexity to the world. Let's look closely at our strange and impure appearances, and talk with our bodies to find hope for coexistence with each other, asking ourselves who we are and what I am.

about SUPER-KIKI SHOP

Since the nuclear accident in 2011, he has been interested in the violence of an unbalanced society, and has been crafting his own expressions through the project super-KIKI, a designer. He mainly upcycles and produces wearable items such as clothing, fabric patches, and stickers using original graphics, and shares his methods through sales and workshops. He explores ways to resist and raise his voice in a sustained, exhausted society, and to ensure that his existence is not drowned out.

super-KIKI (Designer): Since 2011, she has participated in street demonstrations and has been expressing her questions and messages about society through DIY crafts such as banners made from stuffed toys, neon sign-style stencil placards, and clothing. She also organizes meetings for feminist gamers and silkscreen workshops to print political messages. She posts selfies on Instagram as a way to care for herself and explore sexual expression. Having experienced burnout, she is currently creating wearable political items every day, exploring how to raise her voice sustainably in a way that doesn't put too much strain on herself.

FRAGEN (Management): FRAGEN means "to ask" in German. We are a company that accompanies you to continue thinking and acting in society. We specialize in web campaigns, PR, branding, and event coordination. Our main fields of activity are politics, philosophy, activism, and culture. We also host film screenings, feminist reading groups, study groups, and music parties.
