ステイトメント

いま、世界は独裁的なリーダーたちによる強権政治と、国際法を軽んじる軍事侵攻の闇に包まれています。そしてこの日本でも、二度と戦争をしないと誓った「平和憲法」が形骸化され、さらに変えられようとしている現実に、私たちは立っています。

日本各地のデモで今人々が手にする「ペンライト」は、かつて韓国の市民たちが民主主義を守るために掲げた「キャンドル・デモ」の精神を受け継ぐ、国際的な連帯のシンボルです。

私たちは問い直さなければなりません。沖縄に基地・軍隊という重荷を押し付け、日米安全保障という傘の下で享受してきた「平和」がいかに不均衡で危ういものであったかを。そして、かつてアジア諸国を侵略した歴史の延長線上にあり、現行憲法の「国民」という主語にさえ含まれた、構造的な差別を。

「CARRIES ON」という言葉には、その特権的な沈黙を破り、厳しい現実に立たされている今こそ「平和」とは何か、本当にそれをつくるために何が必要なのか改めて語り直し、これまで長い間真の非戦を願い闘ってきた人たちの意志を「つないでいく」という決意を込めました。

風に煽られ、か細く揺らぐ「Peace」の文字は、今この瞬間も世界のあらゆる場所で不均衡な暴力の戦火によって日常を奪われている人々の、危うい生を、そしてその下で激しく燃え上がる「burning」の文字は、国家の枠を越えて手を取り合う市民たちの、決して消えない抵抗の炎を表現しています。

デモの喧騒の中でも、静かな日常の中でも。

この服を着ることは、歴史を忘れず、暴走する権力に抗い、さらに今の時代に新しく紡いだ光を繋いでいくという、一つの「行動」です。

胸に灯る炎のバトンを、隣の人へ。次の世代へ。そして境界線の向こう側へ。

Across Japan, people now raise penlights.

A colorful light,born from the candlelight protests in South Korea,where ordinary people stood up and defended democracy.

So we have to ask:

What kind of “peace” have we been living in?

A peace sustained by the Japan-U.S. security alliance,one that places a disproportionate burden on Okinawa.

A peace tied to a history of aggression in Asia.A peace that still decides who is counted as a “citizen.”

“CARRIES ON” printed over the chest, represents a decision.

To break the silence.To question what peace really means.To face what must be done.And to carry forward the will of those who refused war.

On the back, “PEACE” fades, fragile and unsteady like something that could disappear at any moment.

Because for some, it already has.

Beneath it, “BURNING” rises.

A flame that won’t go out.A resistance shared across borders.

Whether in the noise of protest or the quiet of everyday life, wearing this is an act.

To remember.To resist abuse of power.To keep the light alive.

Pass the flame in your chest to the person beside you, to the next generation, and beyond every border.
